Live Surgery Session in Fresh Cadavers
Tuesday, June 20, 2017
The Live Surgery Session in Fresh Cadavers will be a highlight of the 2017 meeting. Participants will be able to:
- Observe expert surgeons performing the latest in minimally invasive surgical techniques for apical prolapse:
Vaginal uterosacral suspension
Dr. John Gebhart, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN, USA
Laparoscopic sacral hysteropexy
Dr. Magnus Murphy, University of Calgary, Calgary AB, Canada
- Compare the different techniques with commentary from a panel of experts, including surgical considerations and methods to avoid complications and optimize outcomes.
- Participate in discussion about highlighted approaches, including advantages and disadvantages of the surgical approach.
No need to go to an off-site hospital, as the live surgery will be performed in cadavers at the convention centre. Both surgeons will operate simultaneously, with commentary from an expert panel and moderators to lead audience participation.
This experience will offer the exposure of a preceptorship unencumbered by patient considerations and enhanced by expert commentary. Don’t miss it!
